April Bloom Day: Addendum
When I posted my bloom day photos on April 15, there were a few more blooms that were not quite ready for the paparazzi – but as soon as the pressure was off they came out in full red carpet dress. I snuck out and snapped a few shots of the new blooms and I’m posting them up because they are so magnificent I just had to share. What a difference 4 days can make!

Um, I should admit that I bought the painted orange tulips on Sunday – 12 tulips didn’t just pop up today. But who could resist – aren’t they fab?!

Those orange tulips sizzle! Nice shots. I like the way you collage your work!

You have the nicest flowers and always take great pictures. I quite enjoy these posts.

Thank you two. I do wish I had a bit more knowledge of what the flowers are called moreso than just “white blue iris”…but all in time.

Thanks for commenting on my espaliers – you will really enjoy yours. Your flower closeups are beautiful. The one on the top right is the Lilac “Sensation” – the most photogenic of all the lilacs. I hope it’s fragrant also.

Hi Stevie, I’m loving my Parrot tulip too. My lilacs are blooming and I enjoy them but they’re nothing like yours! Fabulous.

Wow great photos and beautiful garden! Do you plant from seeds?
Stevie on 22 Apr 2010 at 7:49 am #
Hi Pricilla, no, most of what is in my front garden is perennials. But I start all my veggies from seed each year.

You really do take the most amazing photos! I hope I have beautiful things like that in my garden one day :-D
