Garden Bloggers’ Bloom Day for May, Wonderful May.

Can I get a “hell yeah!” ?

So far it has been a MAGNIFICENT May.  I adore what’s blooming right now.  I’ve been eating veg from the garden daily.  I have plenty of warm afternoons in the garden.  Now add that to the fact that the sun is out until 9PM, you need a sun hat, and my back patio officially opens for entertaining this weekend and…

Hell yeah, summer is here!

Hell Yeah! I can’t believe how gorgeous it is here in May. I’m near Hasting and Nanaimo and I must say the rhododendrons steel the show! I’m also shocked at how many palms, monkey puzzles and bananas I’ve seen. I thought for most people they’d be a passing oddity but they’re all over.

Aerelonian – I’ve left a whole bunch of suggestions of things to do here for free on your blog. :^)

Andrea – I guess I like purple! The goal is for a purple, red and orange combo but yellow and blue keeps sneaking in.

Hell Yeah – love that lush peony. But I’m jealous that you’re enjoying the warm already – we’ve had several lunches out on the back patio, but keep finding our way back indoors five minutes later with the cold wind. So spare a little thought for us here in London UK ( not the coldest place in the world but still a little behind you in our gardens:-)

Everything looks so lovely together. Especially all the purples and that heuchera nestled in amongst them. I never noticed just how much of a purplish cast those leaves had before. So beautiful.

What a superb color palette! So many lovely things in your garden; I especially like the silvery green/red-veined foliage.

I love all the purple. It has been beautiful lately hasn’t it? I’ve got to spring clean the hell out of my back patio, so I can start enjoying those summer nights. You know the kind that go hand in hand with wine ;)
