Project Update: Hanging Strawberry Planter
Not a whole lot of work went into my hanging strawberry planter project. I tucked some extra runners into a hanging planter I found at a thrift store and hung it off the garage. I’ve kept it watered for 2 months now and look how well it is doing. It is covered in little green strawberries and a ton of flowers. Not too shabby.

I love strawberries! We had a 1m^2 patch after only one year from a few plants crammed in a 6″ pot. When we left they were already covered in blooms!

The nice thing about hanging them is they’re off the ground, away from all those nasty critters that insist on getting their share. [SLUGS!]

Looks like that is working really well. What a great way to foil the bugs. And your planter is much prettier than the ones they sell here. They print designs on the plastic which is really obvious. Yours just fades away behind the berries.

Wow your strawberries look great in that hanging planter. I finally planted mine in the boxes in my garden, I also planted one in a hanging basket. What kind of strawberries do you grow?
